How we look after your information
Who looks after your data
The Trafford 11+ mocks are run jointly by CT Tuition and Kickstone Learning Ltd. We are the joint controllers of the information you give us when you register. You can reach us at bookings@trafford11plusmocks.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
When you register a child we collect your name and contact details, your child's name, school and year group, who is collecting them and the collection password, and the answers you give about their mock-exam background. We use this to run the mock, to manage your child's place, and to keep them safe on the day.
We keep your email address so we can send your child's results and a short report, and a free set of practice questions chosen for them based on how they did. This is part of taking part in the mock, not a separate marketing list.
We also ask for emergency, medical, allergy and any additional-needs information. This is sensitive information about your child's health, so we treat it with extra care. We store it encrypted, we use it only to look after your child on the day, and only the people running the event can see it. It is never used for marketing.
Photographs, video and recordings
As set out in our letter, taking part in the mock includes your child being photographed, filmed and recorded during the day, which we may use to promote future events. You agree to this when you confirm your child's place. If you would rather your child was not included, tell us before the day and we will make sure they are kept out of any footage.
If you choose to send us a short video clip of your own, you are giving your permission for us to use it. We will tell you what it is for when you send it, and you can withdraw it at any time.
The recorded review session
After the mock we run a short recorded review session where the children talk about how they found the day. We record their voice, write it up, and remove your child's name from the write-up. We use the named-removed version to improve the mocks and, only if you have agreed separately, in our research and marketing. We delete the original recording once it has been written up. You will get feedback from the session by a private link. You can change your mind at any time, and we will delete the recording and anything made from it.
Staying in touch
There is one optional box on the registration form: updates about future mocks and courses. It is opt-in, taking part never depends on it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep the sensitive emergency, medical, allergy and additional-needs information only around the event, and we delete it within 30 days of the event. We keep the rest of your booking record for as long as we need it to provide results and follow-up, and no longer.
Your rights, and how to withdraw
You can ask us to show you the information we hold, to correct it, or to delete it. You can withdraw any optional permission at any time. Just email bookings@trafford11plusmocks.co.uk and we will sort it out.
